(how) services

Clients can enter into this practice in five different ways:

  • Individual Sessions
  • Group Sessions meeting regularly for 4 months
  • Sound Meditations
  • Day long workshops
  • 4 day workshops
  • Blessingway: a sound-ritual for a mother-to-be

Individual Sessions are personalized 1 hour sessions that listen to the needs of the client’s body to open it and connect it to the forces of life. The session is mainly developed with tuning forks, in combination with Chinese medicine, Qigong and the energy field of bodies. It is a deep work that acts on the physical and subtle bodies, and directly on the blood and nervous system as well. There are incredible results for cases of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Depending on the specificity of each one, the individual session will also happen through a personalized work with the voice of the client. There might be exercises to do at home. Clients usually book 5 sessions in order to have a sequence of treatment.

“Usually traumas work in patterns. I look at them in terms of rhythm, the sounds they create, and their manifestation within the body. The work I propose aims to create new melodies in the body, breaking repetition and habitual acting, making space for new ways of engaging, creating and living.”

Group Sessions meeting regularly for 4 months are ways to collectively do the work engaged in the individual sessions.  Sometimes a group setting makes it easier for people to engage. One example of this was in Mariana worked for 6 months in 2018 and 2019 with women and non binary persons who shared the trauma of intergenerational sexual abuse.

Focusing on voicing, this process is a singular opportunity to investigate what voice can do to dismantle the traumas of the body. In particular, we look at what the voice can tell us about the cartography of embodied memories, while the voicing nourishes a healing process through embodied empowerment. The space-sounds between mutenes and the word gives us a clue: what can be heard, and felt, through strange exercises of voicing? Might these exercises reconnect and recreate pieces of the body that have been annihilated?

Sound Meditations (A Concert for Otherness) are experimental, meditative, sonorous and multisensory concerts that the artist offers to a collective of people for one hour. This concert takes place on each full moon of each month.

Day long workshops are a singular opportunity to investigate voice and its ability to evoke an empowered liveness.

We will explore a “raw voice”, without tuning or subordination to the patterns of singing, music or speech. A voice that opens the body’s internal space, connects with close and distant memories and provides a future to become. This is a work of connection with yourself and being other, and with your body — which expands listening to a vital and clinical exercise that gives way to what needs to be manifested.

This practical work involves breathing exercises, movement, touching and free vocalization. The work is to get in touch with the forces that the voice carries itself.

In this work, the voice is understood as a tool that activates, connects and evokes the primordial logic of the body. A healing tool and a complex musical instrument that has been mostly reduced to the logic of verbal communication or the standardized songs of Western thought.

4 day workshops are opportunities to work in small groups and go deepen into the work proposed by Day long workshops.

Blessingway: a sound-ritual for a mother-to-be is a ritual among women and non-binary people with the intention to offer strength, love, energy and blessing for the arrival of the new being. The idea is that we can honor the woman in her becoming- mother. This gentle ritual is guided by Mariana and happens with the active participation of the group of friends of the mother-to-be.
